IN & OUT LATE OCTOBER 2021

Here is my pond decor area's progress. Which you could see in full - IF the sun wasn't blinding the view.

I turned out my wine closet, as I had an idea to swap over the contents of the wine closet and the tools closet...

The wine closet was empty and clean - but here is what had to be fitted inside it...

And here is the wine and bird food etc that had to go in the place of the tools....

It did manage to fit in - eventually - so now I have that mini project sorted. Next up was the plumber to fix the leaky pipe.

A giant hole in the wall had to occur.....

The plumber then extracted the old metal pipe and popped in a new plastic one. The reason for this is that the new pipe the bathroom renovation guys put in was plastic and did not fit properly with the old metal downpipe....so constantly we were getting leaking water in between the walls.

As you can see - the new pipe looks great - but alas, the wall now has holes in it. That was the next step and took far longer than the plumber to fix.

IN & OUT OCTOBER 2021

Time to prepare the produce from the bramley tree. This lot became a bag of frozen stewed apple and an apple and ginger tart.

In front of the bramley tree, you can see that I have cleared the nettles and brambles from the back of the pond and planted a few things. The few things I mentioned in my last post have now increased. Here, you can see the lavender I purchased at Old Barn has joined in.

This is the next lot of crops I grabbed. You can see I had a tiny cauliflower in the group. I didnt grow many successfully this year, but did get 1-2 baby ones.

Lavender, spearmint, marigold, honeysuckle, azalea....behind the pond is going to be colorful next year!

Lychnis, mint, cyclamen....plenty on the other side of the azalea too!

Up front, I have primrose, cyclamen, pond plant, spotted whatsitsname, a fern...

Meanwhile, in the poly tunnel, I have basil/chives, pots of spuds, a cabbage, some lettuce down one side.

Whilst on the table, I have spuds, lettuce, onions ready to plant, and a few things I have potted up as experiments....
