After
day 6, you can see it is beginning to take on shape as a bathroom
again - and this time, no grotty grouting or gunky tiles! A brief
interlude - the spare room now looks like this.
Liz
gave me the wing mirrors to the dressing table she gave me and I
have now installed them. The half of the spare room that is a spare
room now looks like it should - a bedroom! Alas, I have a damp patch
arising from exterior holes in the brickery - another application of
polyfilla to be applied during the next 2-3 dry spell. Back to the
workmen, and along came day 7 of bathroom work...
Is
it looking good or what! It is finally beginning to look like a usable
room and so luxurious, modern and clean....AHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh!
I
am beginning to wish the workmen would hurry up and get it done - but
am trying to be patient, and am not going to use anything until it is
finished. I had a shower round Liz's, so along with tub-washdowns and
kitchen sink teeth cleaning, should survive the last few days of
waiting.
By
the close of the day, they had finished bits and pieces, and put the
glass in the shower. The main workman Pete was done with his work,
leaving me with 2 days of decorator, electrician, and manager lying
ahead. He had put back my cabinet, put in our new towel rail, etc. &
the shower was usable - although I chose to wait until after the
painter/electrician had done their jobs, as paint and electric wiring
need dry not damp conditions!
